PROFILE

 

The municipality of NABUNTURAN is located along the northeastern part of the province of Davao, falling within 1250 – 27 east longitude and      70 – 41 north latitude.  It is the capital town of the Province of COMPOSTELA VALLEY and is 88 kilometers from Davao City and              33 kilometers from Tagum City of the Davao Province, connected with concrete Daang Maharlika National Highway.  In terms of road network, NABUNTURAN is the the focal point in the valley.  It is bounded on the north by the municipality of Montevista; on the west by New Corella; on the southwest by Mawab; on the south by the municipalities of Maco and Mabini; and Maragusan on southeast; by New Bataan on the East and; on the northeast by Compostela.  See Map.  It has a total land area of 24,120 hectares comprising twenty eight (28) barangays and forty (40) sitios all interlinked by roads and bridges.
